Drunk man climbs scaffolding on high building in Louth

Lincolnshire Police have given strong words of advice to a drunk man who climbed scaffolding on a high building in Louth - who claimed that he was up there to '˜take some aerial photos' of the town.

A concern for safety was reported at around 1.40am on Friday morning (January 22) and police discovered a 23-year-old man on the scaffolding on a high building in Upgate.

The man was given strong words of advice, but there was no further police action.

A police spokeswoman said: “Climbing scaffolding is an extremely dangerous thing to do, particularly if you are under the influence of alcohol.

“You may be committing trespass offences but the main thing is that you are putting yourself and others at considerable risk”.
