East Midlands: Met office issues yellow weather warning for heavy rain across the region
The Met office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain for many parts of the east Midlands and eastern England today (Friday, 15th August).
The warning is valid from 11am this morning until 7pm tonight.
Scattered showers are likely to develop on Friday morning and become locally heavy and thundery by the afternoon.
The public should be aware of the risk of localised surface water flooding.
The showers should gradually die out from the west this evening.
