Edgley challenges Boston Town to make it a magnificent seven, beginning at Desborough

The Poachers boss believes that a positive return from Saturday’s visit to Desborough - followed by the arrivals of Sleaford on Boxing Day and Peterborough Northern Star on January 5 - will offer his squad a platform to build upon as they aim to move out of the UCL Premier’s bottom two.

“We need to start taking our chances and be more clinical in the spells where we’re dominating.

“It’s as simple as that.”

The Poachers have brought in striker Liam Tunstall to add to their firepower as fellow attackers Alex Nichols, Robert Raducan and Harrison Holland have been unable to hold down regular spots in the team due to injury and unavailability.

And despite the experienced striker not featuring as regularly as he would have liked this season, Edgley says there will be no problems for him finding his feet.

“Liam trained with us for the first time (on Wednesday) and he looked sharp,” Edgley added.

“He scored against us the other week for Sleaford, and he looked on it then.

“He’s not played as much as he wanted to, but he’ a fit lad, a regular gym bunny.

“I think it’d only be one or two games until he’s back to his best.”

Town are also hoping to have Grantham Town loanee Tiago Nassunculo available to face Ar Tarn.

“He’s another attacking option and gives us another dimension,” the manager added.
