The blaze is now out and all occupants are accounted for. But initial reports suggest there were people in the house when emergency services were called.

Firefighters were called at 7.12am to a fire on the first floor of a two storey house in Beardsley Road, with people thought to be inside.

The flames had also spread to the roof and to an adjoining property.

Engines from Edwinstowe, Mansfield, Warsop, Tuxford, Blidworth and an aerial ladder platform all attended the scene.

They spent a number of hours bringing the blaze under control using water jets and other equipment.

At 1.40pm Notts Fire and Rescue Service reported that the fire was out and investigations were continuing to try and determine the cause.
