Eleven recruits complete training

Metheringham and Billinghay recruits have finished 11 weeks of training to become firefighters.

Mark Miller will join Metheringham fire crew, while Rusell Walker and Baron Halfpenny will join the ranks at Billinghay.

Their pass out parade at Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue HQ involved firefighters rescuing casualties from a mock collision.

Mick Green, deputy chief officer at Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, said: “We are delighted to welcome them to the service, and wish them all the best for the future.”

Nick Worth, executive member for fire and rescue at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “I wish them all the very best as they embark on their new careers.”
