Crews from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue have battled a large seafront blaze in Skegness this evening (July 17).
Fire fighters are still on scene now (9.45pm) damping down the flames along a stretch of the sand dunes near South Parade.

The smoke from the fire could be seen as far away as Ingoldmells.
Witnesses have praised the fire service for their quick action.

Local photographer John Byford told us: “They’ve done an excellent job tonight, this could have spread much further.
"Their quick response, professionalism and hard work have helped prevent what could have become a much more serious incident.”
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
