Barn fire near Boston being treated as arson

A barn fire near Boston is being treated as arson, Lincolnshire Police has said.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at the side of the railway tracks in Hobhole Bank, Old Leake, at about 8.45pm yesterday (Tuesday, December 2).
A short time ago, a spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said that no one was hurt as a result of the fire.
“We are currently treating this incident as arson and investigations continue,” they added.
A spokesman for Network Rail said some journeys were affected as a result of the blaze, but trains were able to run as normal for most of this morning.
They added, however, ‘significant damage’ has been caused to equipment at Smiths level crossing, including the Vamos warning light system, footboards, telephones and fencing.
