A body of a man found on the The Drive was first reported to police at 5.28am on Tuesday morning and police officers along with East Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead a short time after.

Police remained on the scene as they made their enquiries, vehicles and a forensics tent seen on site, while the road was partially blocked as a result. They added: “There is not thought to be any wider risk to the public.”

The spokesman said: “We believe the man was in the Leasingham and Sleaford area between 7pm on Monday November 3 and 3am on Tuesday November 4.”

He was described as having medium length hair, with a dark coloured beard and may have been wearing dark coloured trousers, a green coat and brown boots.
