'Riders can expect warm welcome': Motorcyclists urged to sharpen skills as BikeSafe Lincolnshire returns for spring
With brighter evenings on the way, motorcyclists across Lincolnshire are being encouraged to sharpen their riding skills as BikeSafe Lincolnshire launches its latest round of courses.
Delivered by serving operational officers from Lincolnshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit, the initiative is supported by experienced volunteers from IAM RoadSmart and RoSPA.
Together, they bring extensive expertise to the sessions, including operational policing, collision investigation, advanced riding techniques and VIP escort duties.
Organisers say riders can expect a warm welcome, with the day designed to be both informative and practical. Feedback from previous courses shows participants value the opportunity to learn new skills and refresh their existing experience in a supportive environment.

The courses support Lincolnshire Police’s ambition to drive down the number of accidents involving all vehicles on the county’s roads. In January, we reorted the number of people killed in crashes on Lincolnshire's roads fell in 2025.
The the county's road safety partnership said 37 people had died in 34 incidents over the past 12 months.
Officials said the figure was a decrease compared with 2024 when 45 collisions resulted in 51 deaths.
The first course for motorcyclists takes place on Saturday, April 11, followed by a second on Saturday, April 25.
