UPDATE - A17 Sleaford bypass westbound remains closed after collision

Lincolnshire Police have reported that the A17 between Holdingham Roundabout and the A153 junction was closed following a collision reported just before 1am. No further details had been released about the seriousness of the collision.

In their latest update at 10am, the force said the eastbound lane of the A17 is now open, but the westbound lane remains closed.

Motorists had been told to avoid the area while emergency services responded. Rush traffic has been heavy through the town centre and through Leasingham as a result, with tailbacks on Northgate, Lincoln Road and East Road.
