Waste wood burning led to outbuilding fire in Boston, fire service says
An outbuilding fire in Boston yesterday (Tuesday, March 3) began when waste wood burning grew out of control, the fire service has said.
Two crews from Boston attended the incident in Horncastle Road, which was reported to Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service shortly before 10.30am.
The outbreak caused severe damage to part of a brick outbuilding and the contents, the fire service said.
Today, a spokesman said: “Fire investigators have been on the scene and have determined the fire started accidentally when an initial controlled burning of waste wood grew out of control.”
