An end of an era was captured on camera by a Skegness resident when the site of a former adventure park was finally cleared.

The disused Lost World, formerly Fun City, in North Parade was the scene of a major fire in November and is up for sale through Turner Evans Stevens with ‘offers invited’.

David Stennett happened to be passing North Parade when the final section of the Astroglide was being lowered last Monday lunchtime. He said: “I see the site is now offered for sale. A good site for a Premier Inn or Travelodge!”

The site covers 0.64 acres and had outline permission for a hotel and leisure facilities in 2011.
