Fly tippers dumping on The Drove in Sleaford

Fly tippers have been at it again spoiling a secluded spot on the outskirts of Sleaford.

Black bags full of rubbish with nails scattered around have been reported dumped by a resident at the bottom of The Drove close to the Anglian Water pumping station.

North Kesteven District Council’s Environmental Health team are to go out to investigate.

The resident who contacted The Standard said: “There are regular tips at the end of the old Cranwell line where it meets The Drove near the pumping station and at the end of The Drove where it crosses the bypass.

He said: “It was dark and raining so I didn’t open the bags, the other pile where The Drove meets the bypass is definitely building rubbish, blocks, sand paper and nails scattered all over the road.

A NKDC spokesman said: “We have forwarded it to our Environmental Health team and they are going to investigate.”
