In Horncastle, for example, members of the town’s ‘RiverCare’ Group staged their own clean up last Saturday morning.

Working on the River Waring between the ‘Town Bridge’ and the junction with the River Bain near the swimming pool, they unearthed some unusual finds, ranging from supermarket trolleys to a child’s dummy!
