Lincolnshire farmers to share how healthier soils are boosting yields and cutting costs
Can healthier soils protect yields while improving the bottom line? Farmers across Lincolnshire — the county that feeds the country — are being invited to a free event focused on that very questrion.
The Soil Health and Agriculture event will bring together farmers, researchers and industry experts to share real-world experiences from Lincolnshire farms where changes to soil management are already delivering results.
The day will explore how healthier soils can improve crop performance, reduce costs, and strengthen farm resilience. Attendees will hear practical insights from local farmers, see results from trials on Lincolnshire’s main soil types, and learn about cover cropping, nutrients, and modern farming technology.
Paul Ward, Agriculture and Horticulture Adviser at Business Lincolnshire, said: “Healthy soils are the foundation of productive, resilient and profitable farming. This event is a fantastic opportunity to take away practical lessons from across the county.”
