The EV Charging Point bases have been installed in Bargate Green, Cattle Market and Geoff Moulder car parks, with engineers currently creating the base at the Municipal Buildings car park, with work to begin soon at Staniland and West End Car parks.

The council says increasing the number of accessible charging points will promote Boston as a place that is actively encouraging alternative vehicle technologies.

Boston Council was successful in its funding application to the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) to fund the work as part of the council’s climate change agenda. The installation will be completed and available for public use by April.

Portfolio holder for Town Centre Cllr Chelcei Sharman said: “This initiative is a great opportunity for Boston.”
