Public notices round-up: New housing, farm buildings and heritage works proposed across East Lindsey
A series of new planning applications have been lodged with East Lindsey District Council, triggering public consultation periods under national planning legislation.
The proposals, published today (Wednesday) in Public Notices under the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015, will not be decided until at least 21 days after the notice’s publication.

Housing and Agricultural Development
One application affecting Public Footpath 24 seeks permission for three new dwellings on land adjacent to Demeter House, Ford Way, Goulceby. The bid, submitted by Mr. D. Haxby (ref. 03565/25/FUL), would add small-scale residential development to the village.
A major agricultural development has also been put forward by Willes Farming Ltd for land at Howlett House, South Ings Lane, Slackholme End. The proposal (03569/25/FUL) includes the construction of two livestock buildings for cattle, associated infrastructure, and a new attenuation basin.
Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas
Under the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, several applications relating to heritage sites have also been submitted.
At Church Farm, Church End, Skegness, two proposals from Mr and Mrs I. Ellis seek consent for works within the curtilage of a listed building. The first (03514/25/FUL) requests permission to build an outdoor swimming pool, while the second (03515/25/LBA) outlines internal alterations to an outbuilding along with another outdoor pool.
At Stockwith Mill, Harrington Road, Hagworthingham, Mr S. Storan has applied for consent (03516/25/FUL) to erect a barn for event dining, a development that would affect the setting of the historic mill.
A separate listed building application (03228/25/LBA) has been submitted for The Old Hall, Spilsby Hill, Old Bolingbroke. J. & K. Hopkins propose internal alterations to install a new oil-fired central heating system, including radiators, a hot water tank and pipework.
Conservation Area Proposals
Two additional applications fall within designated conservation areas.
At 3 St Mary’s Lane, Louth, Mr and Mrs Smith seek permission (03582/25/FUL) to build a single-storey dwelling with an associated access driveway.
In South Willingham, plans have been submitted by Mr and Mrs Re (02745/25/FUL) for an extension to Stonefield Cottage, providing additional living accommodation.
All applications are open for public comment and will remain under consideration until the statutory consultation periods have concluded. To follow the progress of an application, go to the East Lindsey District Council website.
