Road works by Anglian water on Grantham Road in Sleaford due to be completed tomorrow (Thursday), say officials

Roadworks that have been causing major congestion on a main road in to Sleaford are due to be completed tomorrow, according to officials.

The roadworks set up yesterday (Tuesday) on Grantham Road close to the junction with Northfield Road saw rush hour tailbacks of traffic yesterday and today stretching onto the A15 bypass and beyond the roundabout along the A153 towards Greylees.

Accordinto the county council the works have been carried out by Anglian Water workmen.

Sarah Dobson, from Anglian Water said: “We are sorry for any delays on Grantham Road. Anglian Water engineers are working to install a new water connection and in order to work safely traffic lights are in place on the Grantham Road.

“The works are due to be completed by the end of the day tomorrow (Thursday, December 1).”
