JYSK prides itself on a great deal on everything for the home, making Scandi style accessible. Over its opening weekend the Danum Retail Park JYSK will offer customers a free Danish breakfast on opening morning and celebration prices of up to 75% off. JYSK has also partnered with Doncaster’s own Homes and DIY YouTube vlogger ‘The Carpenter’s Daughter’ to offer hints and tips on how to bring the Scandi art of Hygge (the Scandi art of making your home cozy) to town.

Country Manager for JYSK UK, David Ashton, said: “We are about to start accelerating our growth within the UK and it all starts here in Doncaster, a destination we have chosen specifically to launch our new-look concept store. This will be the first in the UK and therefore our Doncaster customers will enjoy much more attractive and inspiring store to design and create their next big (or small) project. We join Finland, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and Poland as one of the very first new concept stores in the world for JYSK.”

As some of the biggest names in UK home furnishing retail struggle – JYSK is breaking the trend and enjoying bumper success of its best year ever.

David Ashton, again: “At JYSK we believe in putting the customer first, however that only happens when we train, develop and value our team, a team we call #TEAMJYSK. We have a unique culture at JYSK with our Scandinavian leadership style, there is no management hierarchy and we celebrate everything together. In many parts of the UK we are an ‘unknown’, but with our 2,500 stores worldwide we have incredible buying power and that is how we can pass on fantastic offers to our customers every day.”A
