Based on the classic gangster musical, Bugsy Malone tells the story of a one-time boxer trying to make ends meet in New York during the time of prohibition.

This slapstick comedy, famous for its evergreen tunes such as ‘Bad Guys’, ‘My Name is Talleluah’ and ‘So You WannaBe A Boxer’, charts the rivalry between gangster boss Fat Sam and the new-kid-on-the-block Dandy Dan.

Love interests, flapper girls and custard pies flood the stage in this faithful adaptation from the timeless smash-hit film from the 70s.

Director John Hewer said: “What is going to make Bugsy Malone really stand out among these summer workshops, is that it is sheer relentless fun. And messy too!

“The film is so iconic, and the script and songs extremely memorable, that it goes past the point of simply doing the original justice.

“With the talented cast that we see returning from past years, they’re going to put their own individual mark on the production and the characters and make it a fantastic evening of raucous, overblown, slapstick fun.”
