Iris Elizabeth Mellor was announced to have died on Tuesday after the grey Toyota Aygo she was driving was in a collision with a black Audi A6 last Sunday (November 15).
They were travelling on the westbound lanes of the Sleaford bypass dual carriageway at around 10.23am.
Emergency services cut the roof off her car to remove her and she was tramsported with serious injuries to hospital but died later.
Her family have now issued a tribute saying: “Iris was a loving partner, mother and nan. She had a lot of friends who all loved her dearly.
“She will be missed by everyone who knew her and her passing has left a huge hole in all of our lives.”
The family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.
The section of dual carriageway was closed for much of the day following the collision until around 6pm.
The 45-year-old male driver of the Audi, from the Grantham area, was arrested at the scene for traffic offences and later released on bail. The investigation is on-going and officers continue to appeal for witnesses.
