Farforth teenager sentenced for drug-driving and possession

Adam Michael Wood, of Farforth Lane in Farforth, pleaded guilty to all three offences when he appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on February 27.

The offences all took place on December 12 last year, and involved the possession of an unknown quantity of cocaine and an unknown quantity of cannabis – both of which were forfeited to the court and destroyed.

The third charge involved Wood driving a Peugeot 207 on Newark Road, Lincoln, while he had 200 microgrammes of Benzoylecgonine per litre of blood in his system - exceeding the specified legal limit.

For the two drug possession offences, Wood was given a six month conditional discharge.

For the motoring offence, Wood was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

He was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
