Farms around Sleaford are targeted by trailer thieves

Police have issued descriptions of two vehicles which they suspect are being used by raiders targeting farms and workshops in the Sleaford area.

Lincolnshire Police say there have been thefts from farms, smallholdings and workshops, which involve the taking of trailers and horse boxes.

Vehicles they suspect are being used by the thieves are a silver Nissan Navara, which has chrome bull bars and side steps, and a Silver Land Rover Discovery Td5.

PCSO Nicole Page, from Sleaford Rural North Neighbourhood Policing Team, is asking residents to ensure all trailers and outbuildings are properly secured.

She said: “If you witness any vehicles or person acting suspiciously on or around your property please call 999 giving a description of the vehicle, including any registration numbers.”
