Perhaps you’re looking to move home and want to know how high the crime levels are in the area you’re interested in.
Well, you can find out about crimes which have taken place in your neighbourhood via the www.police.uk website.

Hide AdSimply click on the Find Your Neighbourhood link and type in your postcode.
Then, by clicking on Explore Crime Map you will be able to find out the number of crimes which have taken place in that area - and browse crime and anti-social behaviour data on a street-by-street basis.
For example, the latest figures recorded in Matlock saw 70 crimes reported to police in December 2015 - which included 37 cases of anti-social behaviour and 15 violence and sexual offences.
Users can also track the crime and find out the outcome of an individual case.
