Fire crews called to overheated baler in Friskney

Harvesting is still keeping Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue busy across the county.

Crews from Wainfleet and Leverton were called to a baler on fire in a field off Patmans Lane, Friskney, yesterday (Wednesday) at 6.44pm.

Two hose reels and drags were used to extinguish the baler and a straw bale.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said the cause was overheating bearings on conveyor inside the baler.
