Fire crews free casualty from crashed vehicle at Rippingale

Firefighters were called to free a man from a crash vehicle at Rippingale last night (Tuesday).

The single vehicle incident happened shortly before 10pm on the A15 just before the turn off for the B1177 and Rippingale village heading south and fire crews from Billingborough, Sleaford and Bourne attended.

They used hand tools to free the male casualty in his 50s who sustained minor injuries.

Another incident happened nearby earlier that afternoon on the B1177 High Street at Pointon where there was a single vehicle collision.

According to Lincolnshire Police one woman was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham but had no serious injuries.

The crash happened at about 3.17pm but the car was not recovered until 11pm at night.
