Firm that is '˜global success story' celebrates 40th anniversary

A specialist company with a worldwide reputation for excellence has celebrated 40 years of success and innovation at its headquarters in Gainsborough.

Eminox, which designs and manufactures systems that reduce emissions for heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, held an anniversary event at its base on the Corringham Road Industrial Estate.

Staff, customers, industry experts and the town’s MP, Sir Edward Leigh, were among the guests as the firm looked back on four decades of growth.

Sir Edward said: “Eminox may have strong Lincolnshire roots, but it has grown to be a global success story that is leading its market.

“The company has positively impacted on the lives of millions through its advanced technology. It has invested heavily in the area and its workforce.”

As part of the event, Sir Edward unveiled a water feature and presented a plaque, along with Will Milles, chairman of the firm’s parent company, Hexadex.

Founded in 1978, Eminox now employs nearly 300 staff. Its exhaust after-treatment systems are fitted across the world, and its has won bus and coach contracts in cities such as Paris, Barcelona, Hong Kong and London.
