Cash support is available to people whose livelihood dipped from the impact of flooding. Grants can also be used to cover insurance excesses and loss of stock.

Contact the council’s Economic Development team on 01724 297330 to apply quickly as funding is only available until end of March 2015.

The repair and renew grant for homeowners has been popular in assisting people to install new measures to reduce flood risk or to limit the damage should it occur again.

Homeowners can apply for the grant even if they have had flood prevention work carried out on their property. The deadline for applications is January 16 2015. Contact the Operational Housing team on 01724 297000 to find out more or to apply.

Coun Liz Redfern, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “We have provided on-going support for both residents and businesses after last year’s devastating floods in December 2013. The support has helped people get back on their feet when the floods drastically affected their lives. The business support scheme grant and repair and renew grant have made a real difference for lots of people. “However there are still many people that haven’t applied for grants. It isn’t too late to apply but you must do this as soon as possible.

“The Government funding enabled us to provide support schemes in addition to the financial support we provided.

“If you would like more information about the business grant and repair and renew grant don’t hesitate to get in contact with us on 01724 297000.”
