Four vehicle crash at Serlby

A MAN has died after a three vehicle collision on the A614 at Serlby this morning (Friday).

The accident happened at 8.40am just after the crossroads close to Blyth services.

Fire crews from Harworth and Worksop attended along with Notts Police. One person was trapped and was released by firefighter.

One driver suffered serious injuries in the collision. He was taken to Sheffield Northern General Hospital but died shortly after arrival.

The other drivers were shaken but uninjured.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish what happened and the road is likely to be closed for most of today.

Diversions will be place but motorists are advised to avoid the area and take alternative routes.
