Four-year-old dies in van crash

A four-year old boy has died following a single vehicle collision in north Nottinghamshire on Sunday.

Nottinghamshire Police were called just before 1.45pm after the white Iveco van he was travelling in left the road on Main Street, Hayton.

The boy died following the collision as a result of his injuries.

The other two occupants of the vehicle - a 44-year-old man and an eight-year-old girl - also attended hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life altering.

The road has since reopened following the collision.
