‘Fraud’ pair deny charge

TWO men have appeared in court charged with a multi-million pound fraud at Barlborough.

Ian Shakespeare and Charles Frisby are alleged to have committed fraud as directors of property investment firm Zoemack Limited.

They denied trading with intent to defraud creditors of the company at Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court.

Shakespeare’s charges relate from June 2002 to November 2008, allegations against Frisby date between January 2002 and April 2006.

Shakespeare, 53, of Cypress Grove, Wales, Rotherham, and Frisby, 68, of Haugh Road, Rawmarsh, were both committed for trial.

They will appear at Derby Crown Court on 31st May. The trial could be transferred to Southwark Crown Court in London.

Unconditional bail was granted.
