Fun day fundraiser in support of LIVES

Drivers 4 Defibs will hold a fun day at the Coach and Horses pub, in Billinghay, on Saturday, June 4, from 12-11pm, in support of the Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service (LIVES).

It follows a nude calendar which from an initial run of 200 raised £2,320 for Shock Sleaford, a charity working to provide Sleaford and its surrounding villages with defibrillators.

Group member Neil Donner, 50, from Sleaford, said the idea came about over a drink with fellow members, saying in light of them having already got naked ‘it just seemed sensible to do something else’.

LIVES is a cause particularly significant to Neil, with it having not only helped save the life of his wife, Sally, but also his daughter, Sophia, twice. Sophia, 23, has multiple disabilities and was only given two years to live when she was born.

The fun day will include live music, a bar, food, displays of vehicles, dodgems, a bouncy castle and a raffle, plus tug of war competition (£10 per team of eight).
