Local chefs will be showcasing their culinary skills using some delicious regional produce throughout the afternoon. And both the Italian Food Market and the new, larger Farmers’ Market will also be held during the day to tempt the taste buds.

The markets will both start at 9am in the morning and from 11am there will be live cooking demonstrations with the chance to sample some of the delicious dishes that the event’s chefs will be cooking up in the demo kitchen.

Four local chefs will be stepping into the limelight to demonstrate their skills to the crowd.

Marshall’s Yard’s Assistant Centre Manager, Alison Hall, said the team at the Yard had decided to make the popular Italian Day an even bigger and better event this year by making it a real celebration of all things foodie.

She added: “We really wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate all things ‘food’ with this event and we’re delighted with the response we’ve had so far.”

“We have a packed Farmers’ Market with new traders as well as old favourites coming together for what we hope will be our best market ever.”

“We also have the popular Italian market returning selling cheese, bread, olives, cakes, pizza and pasta.”

“The Farmers’ Market will boast an impressive display of locally reared meat with Red Hill Farm, Dexter Beef and Oslinc joining us as well as fruit and veg stalls, fresh fish, handmade bread, honey, ice cream, chocolate, plants and herbs – it’s a great opportunity to come and sample some traditional Italian fayre as well as some great local produce which we’re so lucky to have right here on our doorstep in Lincolnshire.”
