Gainsborough: Come along to a spooktacular event at Marshall’s Yard this Halloween

A Friday fright-night is lined up for visitors to Marshall’s Yard on 31st October when the team at the Gainsborough shopping centre plan some spooky events for Halloween.

There will be four fun packed hours of competitions, entertainment and give-aways and throughout the day there will also be food and craft stalls with seasonal treats.

And don’t forget the Yard’s very own Halloween competitions.

The judges will be on the lookout for the best fancy dress costumes and the most creative pumpkin designs.

Visitors are advised to arrive early to collect their entry number from the stage ready for the start of the parades at 6pm.

There will be free face painting and the option to join in the free pumpkin design workshop which is being held at All Sorts Children’s Entertainment Studio at the Pattern Store at Marshall’s Yard from 4pm to 6pm, with additional prizes to be won for the most creative design.

You are able to bring your own design for this from home if you wish.

Judging for this will take place at 6.30pm.

At 4pm there will be live music performances, stilt walking and dance acts.

There will be also be children’s rides and spooky displays with the evening’s entertainment finishing with a fantastic fire display.

Assistant Centre Manager at Marshall’s Yard, Alison Hall, said: “We love Halloween here at The Yard and our shoppers really know how to celebrate on 31st October.

“This is a great opportunity for everyone to get dressed up and have a good time. “
