Gainsborough: Festive farmer’s market returns to Marshall’s Yard- featuring real life reindeers!

The line up of local producers who are popular each month for their free range meat, fresh fish, cheese, bread, cakes and more will be joined by crafters offering the perfect Christmas gift range for shoppers this weekend on Saturday, December 12,

Alongside this, real reindeer will return to Marshall’s Yard and Santa will also be visiting and watching over them at lunch time.

Disney Frozen princess Elsa will also be here accompanied by Olaf, ensuring the Yard feels at its most festive, and the Gainsborough Salvation Army brass band will provide a great atmosphere whilst people enjoy their shopping trip.

At 1:30pm, Gainsborough primary school children have been invited to come and do some carolling around the centre’s huge reindeer centre piece in the fountain area.

Assistant centre manager, Annabel Plumtree, said: “It should be a great atmosphere here on Saturday with the specialist market, reindeer and all the other activities we have organised from 9am.

“The Frozen characters are always a big hit with our young visitors and of course Santa popping in adds that extra treat ensuring a festive fun day out for all the family.”

The centre is also holding late night shopping evenings on a Thursday and plenty of stores are already offering some great winter offers.
