Gainsborough: Firefighters raise more than £3,000 at charity car washes across the county
Firefighters are thanking their local communities for their support as they celebrate raising more than £3,000 for charity.
Various crews from across Lincolnshire swapped their hoses for sponges last month as they took part in a series of charity car washes to raise money for The Fire Fighter’s Charity.
At the car wash in Gainsborough £228 was raised.
Matt King, deputy divisional commander and charity representative for East Division, said: “We’re thrilled that so many people took up the opportunity to have their car washed and helped us raise money.”
