Gainsborough: Gate Burton crash victim was 19

The man who died in a car crash at Gate Burton yesterday (Wednesday 31st July) was 19, police have revealed.

Lincolnshire Police said that formal identification was yet to take place, following a post mortem.

The crash, between a blue Fiat Punto and a Scania artic lorry, happened at around 6.55am on the A156 Gainsborough Road.

The driver of the Punto, believed to be a Gainsborough man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one else was hurt in the crash.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have seen the vehicles before, to get in touch as soon as possible.
