Gainsborough In Bloom is appealing for volunteers to help with its next tidy up event on Tuesday evening.

Volunteers will meet at 6.30pm at the Trinity View carpark, before getting to work on the area around North Street and Trinity View.

“Even if people can only spare an hour it would be fantastic,” said organiser Vaughan Hughes.

“Refreshments will be provided along with tools and gloves.”

He also thanked Gainsborough Skip Hire for providing the group for a free skip.

The group plans to finish cutting back and levelling bushes and shrubs, put Gainsborough In Bloom planters on the corner of North Street, dispose of dead pile of budlea on Trinity View and litter pick.
