A new housing development in Gainsborough has been completed and given the seal of approval.

Chestnut Homes began building homes at Foxby Chase, off Foxby Hill, more than a decade ago and the company has just finished putting the finishing touches to the final homes.

The development was officially completed by West Lindsey District Council’s Building Control department.

Chestnut Homes’ construction manager Rob Cucksey and contracts manager Mick Burridge were on site to receive the final completion certificate.

David Newton, managing director of Chestnut Homes, said: “Foxby Chase has been a real milestone development for us and it’s wonderful to see it complete after more than 10 years.”

“We’re leaving this site happy in the knowledge that we’ve created a fantastic new community for Gainsborough which residents can enjoy for many years to come.”

“We look forward to creating more communities like this across Lincolnshire in the years to come, starting with our forthcoming development of a site in Morton in the New Year.”
