Gainsborough police’s ‘war on drugs’ in town

Gainsborough police have stepped up their war on drugs in recent weeks - carrying out a number of search warrants and arresting several growers and dealers.

This photo shows the cannabis haul seized by police on Sandsfield Lane on Sunday 21st April - just the latest in a number of warrants carried out in Gainsborough.

“Over the last couple of months, we have executed a number of successful warrants in relation to the cultivation of cannabis and the dealing of other drugs,” said Lincolnshire Police spokesman James Newall.

“This has enabled us to take a significant amount of drugs off the streets and disparaged criminal activity.”
