On 21st July two Probus members, Brian Timbrell and Stuart Leeman, provided the presentation at the latest meeting, using their own photographs, to tell the story of places and events they had been.

Brian showed the Probus members around the Isle of Man.

After a disrupted journey, the group had landed on the island, having time to see the steam trains as well as many of the sights.

Statues to Norman Wisdom and George Formby also featured.

Later Brian gave the group a photographic tour of Puerto de la Cruz in Tenerife.

This gave them a flavour of life there, as well as the flora and fauna.

Stuart’s first offering was of Spitfires, Lancasters and the Red Arrows at the Lincolnshire Showground.

Secondly he had recorded the journey of the largest boat to navigate the Trent as it ‘hit’ Gainsborough.

Both Brian and Stuart had produced very professional looking photography, accompanied by music.

The great amount of work this had taken, and the interesting content, were much appreciated by the Probus club members.
