The work is required due to the poor condition of the existing road surface.

During the closure, the main diversion route will be via Corringham Road, Spital Hill, Spital Terrace, North St-Morton Terrace, Morton Road and Little Belt Road (and vice versa).

There will also be a diversion for HGVs over 4.2m via Corringham Road and The Avenue due to the low bridges under the railway.

The work is expected to take around two weeks to complete.

The council apologises for any inconvenience caused by this essential maintenance.
