Gainsborough: Shotguns stolen during burglary at bungalow

Five shotguns have been stolen from a bungalow in Gainsborough.

Lincs Police are appealing for information after shotguns were stolen during a burglary in Scotter Common, Gainsborough, on Wednesday 9th April.

Offenders are believed to have entered through the rear of the property at some point during the day and found the guns in a cabinet while carrying out an untidy search of the house, before leaving the same way.

Nothing else is thought to have been taken in the incident, which is believed to have occurred at some point between around 8.30am and 5.30pm that day.

The five 12 bore shotguns stolen were a Beretta 12 bore shotgun over and under (Serial number: U27088B), Aya 12 bore shotgun side by side (Serial number: 547060), Hooton 12 bore shotgun side by side, Webley and Scott .410 shotgun single barrel (Serial number: 52111) and a Baikal 12 bore shotgun single barrel (Serial number: P03083)

Police are asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area on 9th April to contact the force and anyone who may have seen or been offered the guns for sale, which were legally held by the occupant, is also asked to contact Lincs Police on 101 quoting incident 336 of 9th April.
