The Lincolnshire MG car club had chosen the 18th century country home near Spilsby as the destination for members taking part in this year’s Drive It Day.

Organised by The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs, the annual campaign aims to raise awareness of the classic vehicle movement in the UK.

Astrid Gatenby, visitor experience manager, said: “Nearly 200 visitors admired more than 40 classic cars at Gunby on Sunday, which was a great turnout, in spite of Arctic conditions.

“Organiser David Stonehouse, of the Lincolnshire MG Car Club, let us know that it couldn’t have gone better and that his members loved the setting of Gunby Hall and Gardens for their ‘Drive it Day’ this year.

“The house provided a perfect backdrop for the elegant vehicles parked on the formal drive and car club members enjoyed exploring the house and gardens too.”
