GALLERY: Fun and strong message at event in Skegness

An event in Skegness with a serious message for adults to drive down road deaths had something to occupy all members of the family.

Emergency teams joined forces to organise the event on the seafront – and raise money for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

PCSO Michelle Collins, one of the organisers with Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, said: “We want to reduce the number of deaths and seriously injured on our roads.

“We attend road accidents together, so we thought why not hold an event together, to try to help prevent them happening.”

Local businesses who supported the event included Bush tyres, offering advice on tyre safety, supported by Bridgestone. Halfords gave advice on appropriate child restraints, and the Road Safety Partnership was also there.
