Gary built a snowman in October ... and it's unlikely to melt just yet

Welder fabricator Gary Marshall has just built a 7ft tall snowman that will be covered in chocolate to help a children's charity.

“I do artistic ironwork,” said Gary. “But this is the first time I have built a snowman.”

The snowman, complete with top hat, is made of metal bars and took shape at Gary’s workshop in Gosberton Risegate.

It will be sent to a chocolatier in Scarborough, who is raising money for the Little Foot children’s charity which organises trips to London for youngsters who otherwise wouldn’t have holidays.

Last year Gary created a 7ft Easter egg for Hansen’s Chocolate House, in Folkingham, to raise money for St Barnabas Hospice.
