Gas leak sees emergency services rush to address in Sleaford

Emergency services and gas engineers were called to a property in Sleaford yesterday evening (Saturday) after a small gas leak was reported.

Police and firefighters attended the address off Mareham Lane near the Bass Maltings and the issue was quickly dealt with by the fire service and gas engineers from Cadent, according to Sleaford Police.

“Thanks to local residents for bearing with us,” said officers via their Twitter feed.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that their Sleaford crew helped isolate the gas leak and left it with gas engineers.

Meanwhile, they also attended a hedgerow and fence fire on Beech Rise, in Sleaford caused by controlled burning too close to the fence.
