GBH arrest in Boston

A man has been arrested in connection with an incident in Boston.

Police were called to the Gassy Pad area, near the Sluice Bridge, shortly after 10pm on Monday night (2 March) after a 46 year-old man was assaulted. The victim was treated at Boston Pilgrim Hospital for a stab injury.

A short time later, a 25 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH, possession of an offensive weapon and attempted robbery. He was found to be suffering from minor self-inflicted injuries and is currently receiving treatment in hospital under police guard.

A scene guard is in place in the area of the bridge. Anyone with information that may assist the enquiry is asked to contact Boston CID on 101, quoting incident number 386 of 2/3. Alternatively, report information anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
