Georgian film is set to hit Louth Film Club

A remarkable Georgian film that is jam packed with power and punch is set to be shown by Louth Film Club on Monday, May 9.

The President is about the dictator of a fictitious eastern country and his doting grandchild who have to flee their luxurious surroundings following a coup d’état.

Chair of Louth Film Club, Paul Hill comments on the upcoming film that will be shown: “On his journey, in disguise, he comes face-to-face with the consequences of his inhumane rule.”

The film is certified 15 and will be shown from 7.30pm at The Playhouse Cinema in Cannon Street.
