Get nominating your champion for top NK community award

There have been a number of nominations in the first few weeks since the launch of North Kesteven's Community Champions Awards 2016.

There are hundreds of unsung heroes working quietly, tirelessly and voluntarily in the district, and North Kesteven District Council is again celebrating their endeavours at the awards event which will take place on October 20, 2016, at The Venue in Navenby – compered by BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Rod Whiting.

This year the council welcomes on board the Sleaford Standard as a media sponsor. The Standard 
joins a range of community-focused businesses keen to celebrate community endeavour.

You can nominate anyone living, working or volunteering within North Kesteven. The eight categories are: Young Achievers Award; Community Business of the Year; Community Spirit Award; Contribution to a Better Environment; Contribution to the Arts; Contribution to Sport; Contribution to Health and Wellbeing; Contribution to Sustainable Transport.

Go to www.n-kesteven.gov.uk/communitychampions or pick a form up from your local parish council or NKDC council office.

If your nominee is shortlisted as a finalist both they and you will be invited to attend the awards 
evening.
